You know those French Macaroons that are wildly popular and all over Instagram? They come in a variety of pastel colors, they are flakily crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside, and equally delicious as they are pretty? Well…Mikayl is a French macaroon. Let me explain.

I met Mikayl a few months ago when she graciously accepted my invitation to be the makeup artist for a fun photo shoot I had planned. She is the cutest thing in the world (that’s not an exaggeration) and she is incredibly talented, (that’s also not an exaggeration). On the exterior, she is nothing short of a fiery girl boss. She is hard working, determined, opinionated, and spunky. But there’s another side to her that is calm, collected, and just plain pretty. I enjoy talking to her, and shooting her yesterday was a blast! By the end of the shoot, she was shivering from the cold, and her bare feet were blocks of ice, but she delivered the prettiest, tastiest pictures!

Mikayl...I apologize for comparing you to food, but we both know you were supposed to be born French, walking the streets with your fashionable outfits, coffee in hand, and eating food as pretty as you.
