The Muir Family
What I love most about this family session is that it depicts a "real" family. Many of the best family moments are candid, spontaneous and unplanned. I love the little looks shared between these four beautiful people. While editing these pictures, I realized how thankful I am for families.
It is so amazing that we can create our own family. You find someone special and then maybe one day have kids. You can teach your kids however you want to, and you all grow together in unity. My sister in law told me something recently that I think is awesome about parenting. You can teach your kids to like what you like. So, in a way, you raise yourself a future friend.
This is one of my favorite things to think about with Matt and I. I love teaching him about things I like and then watch him get excited about it. Last month for my birthday he got me a bunch of records for my collection. Do you know which ones he got me? The Strokes, Lana Del Rey, La La Land and the Lumineers. At the beginning of our relationship, he would not want to listen to any of those, let alone buy them for me! Now they are some of our favorites to enjoy together.
So....I think it is very important to remember to SHARE with each other. Do not keep your hobbies, talents, or passions to yourself. Even if you and your spouse and kids are different in every way, keep sharing and doing things together. Let each person be an individual and show interest in them. You do not necessarily have to find common ground every time you plan an activity. Do something your husband/wife wants to do and it might surprise you.
